Two badminton gold medal

INCHEON, South Korea – While a lack of preparation in terms of training, the defending champion Badminton Men’s Singles event SU5, Hou Cheah Liek still able to maintain excellent performance when the gold medal in the Asian Para Games in Gyeyang Gymnasium yesterday.

Hou Liek beating the opponent from Indonesia, Oddie Dwi Kurnia Listyanto by decision 21-8 and 21-11 to confirm the gold medal.

“Syukur I am able to retain the title in Incheon after the Games in Guangzhou. Before I came to Incheon, I don’t have much training for job reasons.

“I have to attend training three times a week, but I can only attend on Saturday,” he told reporters after the match.

Liek Hou said, after arriving at Incheon on October 13, he tried to adapt  to court environment and collect energy to ensure the victory.

Not only managed to maintain singles championship, Hou Liek who partners Suhaili Laima in the Men’s Doubles event SL3-4 / SU5, again equaled the gold medal in Guangzhou.

Commenting on today’s match, Suhaili said the first set of the match was slow and opponents featuring fierce competition.
