KUALA LUMPUR, April 25 (Bernama) — National Sports Institute (NSI) chief executive officer Ahmad Faedzal Md Ramli has been appointed as the country’s deputy chef-de-mission (CDM) to the 2019 Philippines SEA Games which will take place from November this year.
The decision was announced by the Olympic Council of Malaysia (MOM) president Datuk Seri Mohamad Norza Zakaria after chairing the OCM selection committee meeting which was also attended by Ahmad Faedzal at Wisma OCM here today.According to Mohamad Norza, the OCM is still looking to appoint another deputy CDM to assist CDM Datuk Datuk Megat Zulkarnain Omardin during the biennial event.
“As everyone is aware, out of the two deputy CDMs, one comes from the ministry, and the other from OCM. From the ministry’s end, they only suggested Ahmad Faedzal. When we have both the names later, we will announce it, “he said.Ahmad Faedzal, 40, had served as the deputy director of the Social Services Division, Ministry of Economic Affairs before being appointed as NSI’s CEO in mid-February.
