ISN ORGANIZED INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF KINANTHROPOMETRY (ISAK)’ ACCREDITATION COURSE LEVEL 1 SERIES 2/2017

7 DECEMBER 2017, BUKIT JALIL: The National Sports Institute (ISN) through the Centre for Professional Education, Research & Education Division in collaboration with Sports Nutrition Centre, Sports Performance Division have organized the ‘International Society for the Advancement of Kinanthropometry’ (ISAK) accreditation course Level 1 from 14-16 November 2017.

This course aims to provide participants with opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy in body composition measurement tests using internationally recognized standards, ISAK.

In addition, this accreditation course will certify the successful participants with ISAK level 1 certification.

The instructor of the course, Mdm. Chai Wen Jin holds Level 3 ISAK certification and also a sports nutritionist in National Sports Institute.

A total of 10 participants comprising 2 ISN nutrition officers and 8 external participants comprising lecturers, research officers and students from public and private universities attended the course.

Throughout this course the participants were exposed to knowledge and skills theoretically and practically on the basis of anthropometric measurement or body composition.

To qualify participants for ISAK level 1 certification, participants were required to undergone practical assessment tests.

Overall, all participants have successfully completed the course.
