Bukit Jalil – 15 January 2015 (Thursday) – Department of Research Management, Division of Research, Education and Innovation in Sports had held a EndNote Reference X7 Management System workshop at the computer lab of the National Sports Council (MSN). This course was conducted by Mr. Davood Mehrabi, an invited speaker from ColumbiaSoft Sdn. Bhd. The workshop was attended by 20 officers of National Sports Institute (ISN).
The aim of this workshop is to expose the officers to the use of this software in research writing. Priority was given to the officers that had contributed articles for ISN publication and who is currently doing a research at ISN. The participants will receive EndNote X7 software which will be installed in their office desktop or office laptop. The installation will be done in stages.

Endnote X7 is a database reference software that is gaining attention from researchers today. It is a bibliographic software that enables the management and storage of reference data in a proprietary database called endnote library. This software allows the storage of citations and references according to the desired style that they want and can avoid repetitive typing during the research-writing process.

The aim of this workshop is in line with ISN’s objective in strengthening and coordinating the aspects of education, sport science research and sports medicine comprehensively to promote research culture in ISN. This workshop will definitely give a boost and improve the quality of research writing among ISN staff.
