Institut Sukan Negara (ISN) is looking for service providers to provide insurance and medical coverage for both athlete and coaches that will be recruited for the PODIUM programme. With that mind, the tender process shall be undertaken within the near future to identify suitable providers.Therefore, ISN invites all interested parties to submit a written response to this Request for Information (RFI). The information gathered from this RFI will be used subsequently to develop a Request for Proposal (RFP) document inviting suitable companies to propose.
This RFI is being sought strictly for the purpose of gaining knowledge of insurance and medical coverage products available for athletes and coaches and should not be construed as intent commitment, or promise to acquire services, supplies or solutions offered.
The PODIUM programme is a dedicated national elite athlete’s preparation programme, wholly planned, managed and executed by ISN. Athletes and coaches that are part of the PODIUM programme will be trained and developed for international tournaments such as Asian Games, Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games.
This RFI primarily serves to identify insurance providers that can provide coverage for athletes and coaches. RFI responses should provide a brief introduction of the insurance provider, their past experience and inform ISN of the industry standards, available products for insurance and medical coverage that are provided for athletes and coaches. These may be substantiated by industry best practices in operationalising the coverage.
The RFI response is required to address the six topics explicitly described in the RFI Questionnaire. The material submitted in response to the RFI is a property of ISN. ISN is not responsible for any costs incurred during the preparation of their response to the RFI.
