MAHSA launches the Bachelor of Sports Science (Honours) Programme & inks MoU with National Sports Institute (ISN), Malaysia
Bandar Saujana Putra, 5 September 2024 – MAHSA University on Thursday launched the Bachelor of Sport Science (Honours) Programme, a new undergraduate degree that is set to draw experts and sports enthusiasts alike in an effort to optimise physical performance and health for athletes for all ages and abilities. This partnership also marks a significant milestone in the advancement of sports science education in Malaysia, offering MAHSA students unparalleled opportunities for elite performance-level practical exposure, research, and internships.
Responding to MAHSA’s initiative, ISN Chairman and CEO Ahmad Faedzal Md Ramli said, “The National Sports Institute Malaysia is excited to collaborate with MAHSA University in advancing sports science education.
This partnership aligns with our mission to foster excellence in sports performance and health sciences. By working together, we can create a dynamic environment for research, innovation, and practical learning that will benefit athletes, students, and professionals alike,” he adds.
Leveraging on the synergistic relationship between MAHSA University and ISN, the launch and MoU aims to be an avenue that benefits students, faculty, athletes, and the broader sports and health sciences communities. It is also expected to pave the way for future collaborative efforts in research, innovation, and the development of high-performance sports practices in Malaysia.
Commenting on this, Senior Director, Academic and Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences, Nursing and Education Associate Professor Dr Veronica Chua stated, “We are thrilled to partner with The National Sports Institute Malaysia to enhance our Sport Science degree programme.
