Singapore, 4–5 June 2025 – The Institut Sukan Negara (ISN) proudly participated in Beyond Activ World 2025, held at the prestigious Raffles City Convention Centre, Singapore, bringing together global leaders in sports performance, wellness, and active living.
Leading the ISN delegation was Dr. Vellapandian Ponnusamy, Chief Executive Officer of ISN, accompanied by Dr. Ahmad Zawawi Zakaria, Director of the Sports Performance Division, and Tuan Syed Faris Bin Syed Omar, Head of ISN Niaga.
As one of the region’s foremost gatherings of sports industry thought leaders, Beyond Activ World 2025 served as a platform for strategic dialogue, partnership development, and future-forward exploration into the evolving landscape of sports science, athlete management, and active health ecosystems.
During the event, ISN engaged with international stakeholders, sharing insights on:

Dr. Vellapandian emphasized ISN’s mission to position Malaysia as a hub of sports innovation and performance excellence in the region.
“Participation in global forums such as Beyond Activ World enables ISN to benchmark our strategies against international best practices, foster cross-border collaboration, and accelerate innovation for Malaysian athletes and the broader active community,” he noted.
The delegation also explored emerging trends in athlete recovery, AI integration in performance analytics, and sustainable business models in sports development—areas aligned with ISN’s strategic focus for 2025 and beyond.
The event concluded with valuable networking opportunities, laying the groundwork for future collaborations across Southeast Asia and beyond, as ISN continues to align its operations with global standards in elite performance and sports industry leadership.
