PUTRAJAYA, July 3, 2017 (Tuesday) – Institut Sukan Negara (ISN) has signed a Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with Yakult Malaysia, Monash University Malaysia and UMP Consultancy & Training Sdn Bhd at Marriot Putrajaya Hotel today.
This MOU signed by ISN Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Dr. Mohd Khairi Zawi and witnessed by the Chairman of the Board of Institut Sukan Negara (ISN), Dato’ Seri Abdul Azim Mohd Zabidi.
SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT BETWEEN ISN-YAKULT MALAYSIA
Institut Sukan Negara (ISN) announced a three-year sponsorship agreement with Yakult (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. as ISN official probiotic beverage and the choice of probiotic beverage for the National Athletes. The sponsorship of 100,000 Yakult Ace Light bottles worth RM94,000 a year will start from August 2017 until August 2020. This sponsorship is the first of its kind in the form of probiotic drinks ever conducted by ISN.
According to Yakult Managing Director, Mr. Hiroshi Hamada, “We are proud to name Yakult as ISN official probiotic beverage. The main purpose of this sponsorship is to promote a healthy lifestyle. Not many people know about the effects of stress and fatigue after workout that can be improved through probiotics drinks. This fact is supported by a scientific research conducted by researchers from Japan where probiotic supplementation is able to improve the body’s immune system. Therefore, for our National Athletes, we hope that Yakult as a probiotic beverage is able to maintain the optimum health of athletes.
The Yakult representative attended the signing sponsorship agreement today is Yakult Malaysia Managing Director, Mr. Hiroshi Hamada.
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN ISN AND MONASH UNIVERSITY MALAYSIA
Institut Sukan Negara (ISN) and Monash University Malaysia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for three years to collaborate on aspects such as Research.
This collaboration aims to promote joint research and education activities related to sports and health among the general public.
Among other things, the role of this MOU is to provide a collaboration through short-term visits by faculty, researchers, staff and lecturers, organizing conferences, colloquiums, symposia or research activities.
It also includes a partnership between both sides to co-host the exchange of information through organizing of research seminars between ISN and Monash University Malaysia to realize the goal of information sharing..
University representative who will attend this signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between ISN-Monash University Malaysia today is the President and Vice Pro-Chancellor, Professor Andrew Walker.
EXCHANGE OF MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN ISN AND UMP CONSULTANCY & TRAINING SDN.BHD
Collaboration between Institut Sukan Negara (ISN) and UMP Consultancy & Training Sdn. Bhd. is through the aspect of university’s expertise in designing ISN TALENT COMPASS software that will provide database for potential athletes of 500,000 people. This database aims to identify potential talented athletes according to sports and talent requirements identification.
Representatives from UMP Consultancy & Training Sdn. Bhd. for the MOU is Professor Dr. Zahari Taha, the Head of Project TALENT COMPASS SOFTWARE.
