Call for Manuscript
National Sports Institute (ISN) invites submission of manuscript to ISN’s Coaching Journal. The journal welcome research manuscript with specific focus on research involving athletes of any level (i.e developmental to elite).
Aim of the Journal
The journal aims to provide athletes, coaches and sport administrators with the latest researches, tools, and resources in coaching related area of interests.
Target Audience
The journal targets readership among coaches (from grassroots to elite level), athletes, sports scientists, applied sports practitioners and general sports enthusiats.
Theme
The journal welcomes submission of manuscript (original articles) focusing on any sports related research/studies with specific focus on research/studies involving athletes of any level (grassroots to elite level) as the sample of the research.
Preparation of Manuscript
The manuscript should be prepared according to the following format:
1) Language & Style:
- Manuscripts must be in English.
- Content should be straightforward and easy to understand.
- Authors should avoid overly detailed methods or statistical sections.
2) General Formatting:
- The manuscript must be prepared using Arial font, 11 pt, single spacing.
- The document alignment should be “Justified”, with 2.54 cm margins all around.
3) Manuscript Structure & Content:
- All manuscript must include Title page, Abstract, Main Body, and References
- The title page should include the title of the paper, full first name and surname of each author, and all authors’ affiliation, city and country.
- The contact details of the corresponding author (postal address, telephone number, fax number and e-mail address).
- The abstract should be structured to include Background, Method, Results, Conclusion and should not exceed 250 words in length.
- A minimum of 5 key words (not from the title) should be provided at the end of the Abstract.
- The Main body of the article should include the sections for Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Practical Application for Coaches, and Acknowledgements.
- The section “Practical Application for Coaches” should explaining how coaches can apply the research findings in bullet points.
4) Citations and References
- The referencing is based on the Vancouver style.
- References to published work should be numbered sequentially in which they are first mentioned/appeared in the text.
- The name of the journal should be abbreviated according to the World list of scientific periodicals. The followings are some example of Vancouver referencing style:

5) Table, Figures and illustrations
- Any external content/image/ table/figures should cite the relevant sources.
- All illustration and diagrams should be referred to as figures and numbered consecutively.
- The figures/images should be prepared in high resolution (300 dpi) and save it in jpg format.

Submission of a paper is taken to imply that the material has not previously been published and is not being considered for publication elsewhere.
