TEAMISN CONDUCTED SPORTS TAPING (BEGINNER LEVEL) FOR BASIC SKILLS EXPOSURE

13 JULY 2017, BUKIT JALIL: Institut Sukan Negara(ISN) through Centre for Professional Education, Research and Education has conducted Sports Taping Course : Beginner (Pilot Test). The main objective of this course is for pilot-testing the revised module as well as getting feedback from participants on the effectiveness of the overall module content and implementation of the course.

30 ISN internal participants among officers and staff from Sports Medicine Division and High Performance Division have attended the course. Throughout the course, participants have been exposed to basic knowledge and skills on Sports Taping and had opportunity to apply the basic techniques of sports taping on knee and ankle. To fulfill the overall course requirements, participants were required to complete pre & post written test and practical evaluation before given a certificate of attendance.

In general, all participants have successfully completed the course. The pre & post written test and practical evaluation have shown that participants’ understanding and basic techniques on sports taping increased. The basic knowledge is beneficial for participants as their daily work routine involves high performance athletes.
